A Promise of Tomorrow

The moment when you knock my door
I was left in conundrum if let you in
Or to let you go!

World seemed strange and the heart sour
With millions apprehensions and nightmare ajar
Scared as I was, went back to slumber
Sweating insanely in the month of November

Winter waved hands bidding goodbye
Introducing summer to paint the golden sky
Now was the time to hit the bull's eyes
And to face the fate, not criticize

Burden to me as I bore you
I never thought I would come
    Out of the blue
But the experience of your first kick
    Played a beautiful trick
My gloomy face lit like a full moon
Giving a promise of an enchanting life soon!

A beautiful description of the cycle of life. The present giving birth to the future, that will be etched with innocent memories of life.

The future is lit with hopes and aspirations and ridden with new experiences that will go down memory lane and will be cherished forever!
